PAOLO SASSARINI

I am 11 years old, and I carry a very big dream in my heart.

My name is Paolo Sassarini R., and basketball is one of the most important parts of my life. Every time I step on the court, I feel joy, energy, emotion, and the desire to keep growing. For me, basketball is not only about competing. It is also about learning, improving, and becoming the best version of myself.

Right now, I am building my path step by step, with discipline, hope, and a deep love for the game.

How I Live It With joy, discipline, and heart

I do not just play basketball. I feel my life growing through it.

I love running, defending, competing, learning, and feeling that every practice teaches me something new. Some days push me harder, some days show me something new about myself, and some days simply remind me why I love this sport so much.

Basketball makes me feel alive. It teaches me to be brave, to work hard, to listen, to stay patient, and to keep going when things are not easy. Every game and every workout are part of my journey.

But this dream does not live only in me. It also lives in the love of my family, in everything we share, in the support they give me, and in the memories I carry with me every time I step onto the court.

The number 2 means something very deep to me

I wear number 2 because it is the day my little brother Luciano was born. It may sound like a small detail, but to me it is not small at all. Every time I step on the court wearing that number, I feel like I am carrying part of my family and part of my heart with me.

I like to think that dreams are built that way too: with effort, discipline, and also with love. That is why my number is not just a number. It is a beautiful memory, a symbol of family, and a way to feel that I am never alone.

“When I play wearing number 2, I feel like I am playing with love, with memories, and with the people I care about the most.”

Living the Orlando Magic Holiday Camp made me look even farther

In November 2025, I participated in the Orlando Magic Holiday Camp, and it was one of the most special experiences of my life. I made many new friends, shared the court with other kids, and learned more about how basketball is lived in a different environment.

I also had the chance to attend an official Orlando Magic game. Being there, seeing the court, feeling the energy of the crowd, and experiencing that atmosphere up close was something that deeply inspired me. It stayed with me and helped me understand that my dream could grow even bigger.

Very soon, my family and I will begin a new life in the United States

We are getting ready to move, and for me that means much more than changing places. It means opening a new chapter, discovering a new culture, continuing my education, and working to find my opportunity in the competitive world of school basketball.

I know it will be a demanding journey, but I also know that I want to live it with humility, discipline, and courage. I want to keep learning, training, and growing, without ever losing the love I feel for this game.
